At the beginning of the summer, I took our girls to Ikea to look at a budget friendly desk Sissy had her eye on. This was quite a field trip for us since it is a 2 1/2 hour drive just to get to the store. Little One was not happy at all and kept asking to go home, she had no interest in going to "Key".....until we got there. Once she saw the yummy food in the cafe and all of the cool furniture, she had other plans.
Her favorite "spot" in the entire store was in the middle of the Edland Four Poster canopy bed. It was draped with curtains on every corner and a chandelier hung in the middle.
I'm kind of right there with her. If my room was large enough to handle a romantic canopy and I could convince Husband, I think I would go for it.
After we dragged her from her "comfy spot" with the promises of more chocolate princess cake, we headed home with our goodies.....and her chocolate princess cake. The next day she told me she wanted a "lear" in her room and a pretty bed. My little girl was finally a big girl, wanting a big girl room!! It was just a matter of time!!
After weeks of reminding me she wanted a "lear", I climbed up in the attic and brought down a gilded crystal chandelier I wasn't using and painted it white to match the new fabric she picked out for her room. Then I asked her what kind of canopy she wanted. I gave her four to choose from.

Beautiful!! My daughters would love this, I've just started to decorate the bedrooms n love the canopy idea!
I hope you try it! I would love to see photos!!!
